Just finished up at Delphi for the day after setting out at 8, and making a quick stop at a Greek supermarket for some snacks for the day. Most of us bought bread rolls and sandwiches from the bakery in the supermarket, while others decided Pringles would suffice. We spent 2 ½ hours on the bus, passing some extraordinary views, until we reached Delphi. We began our tour by visiting ancient ruins and treasuries, until coming to The Temple of Apollo, which overlooked an amazing view into the valley below. We continued on to see ancient sports stadiums and theatres, which had once been filled thousands of years ago. We toured the museum which was adjacent to the site, and Guide Bucko told us many stories and facts about the artefacts which lay within. It's quite impressive how much he knows - but then again it is his tenth tour. We now take the bus back to Athens, where we can hopefully rest a bit before heading out for another evening excursion.
